On The Way To Dinner

Tonight we were headed to dinner at Freddy's. Believe it or not it has been over a week since we have been there and even LONGER since we have been as a family. Just kind of at random, Jesstine piped up from the back seat of the van, "Dadda, did you get the ladder?" Stephen wasn't sure why she was asking this so he replied with something along the lines of, "What for?" Jesstine quickly answered, "So you can get the moon for me." This was significant and sweet to us because one of her favorite books is Papa, Please Get The Moon For Me by Eric Carle. Aunt Grace gave us a DVD with several Eric Carle stories on it, including The Very Hungry Caterpillar and of course this book! It is amazing what comes to the mind of a three year-old just kind of randomly!

In Him,
The Hutchins

P.S. Later I was brushing her teeth and we were talking about how in the book, Papa is the little girl's daddy. But we know someone else as Papa: Papa Hutchins. So Jesstine asked me, "Can Papa Hutchins get the moon for me?"
