Daddy in Training

This deserves an introduction. I have craved McDonald's chicken nuggets a few times since getting pregnant. So, I just order the kid's meal with six piece nuggets. Everyone likes the toys right? Well, the toys were sitting in my living room by my chair. While we were watching TV and commercials were on, Stephen found them and this is what happened. I call it "Daddy in Training" because he is practicing to be a daddy. Needless to say, our child will never be deprived of entertainment so long as Daddy is around! So, now without further adieu....I present The Dancing Bears! *cheer, cheer*

A Blob on our blog!

Herm's Heartbeat

Herm's Livingroom

Herm Hutchins

We went to the doctor today to check-up on Herm after the bleeding episode the weekend after Christmas. As you can see, Herm is still a blob (hence the title of this post). The doctor says everything looks good. There still appears to be blood behind the sac, but not to be concerned. He plans to watch it pretty closely. We would appreciate prayers on Herm's behalf to make sure that he/she is safe and healthy. For those of you who don't know how to read sonogram pictures, Herm is the smaller sectioned off part in the single blob picture. You could fit two Herm's inside a US dime. The bigger section is Herm's current living room. If all goes well, he/she will have to move to a larger living room in about 8 months! The other picture is Herm's heartbeat which is at about 140 beats per min. For those of you keeping track, that is a pretty good indication that Herm is a boy, but YOU won't know that until Herm is born! HA HA! Stephen's first words when hearing the heart rate were, "It's a boy!" (I am paraphrasing!)
I hope this finds all of you doing well. Please continue to pray for us through this journey.

And so we begin....

Well, I thought that it was about time to start a blog of my own since so many of my friends have a blog of their own. So here it is. It may be pretty sparse at first, but I hope to have a lot to fill it up with in 2008!

For those of you who don't already know, Stephen and I found out we are expecting our second child sometime in August! We are so excited, but nervous at the same time. After losing Babe B. so late in the pregnancy and to something that possibly could have been spotted, it has been hard to know what to think of this pregnancy. We are of course excited, but also very on edge! It didn't help when I had some spotting this last week and was confined to bed for the whole weekend! All is well as far as we know. We will post the first sonogram pictures as soon as we see a hearbeat. In the meantime, we have decided to have everyone call this child "Herm." Herm is a mixture of Her and Him. We decided to find out what we are having, but we are not telling anyone else. It seemed pretty clever to me to just put him and her together. Not to mention, Herm sounds a lot better than "It" or "Baby." So there it is!

We hope that all of you enjoyed your holiday season. We also wish all of you a wonderful 2008!
