Potty "Train"ed

Jesstine has been begging for a train since last summer. We kept telling her that if she learned to potty in the potty like a big girl, she could get a train. She also kept begging to go to a movie. There really haven't been any movies out that we thought she would sit through since we went to Tangled just after Christmas. So, we added that to the reward as well. Last night, she did it! She filled up her SECOND potty chart (she really only started going consistently in the potty half way through the first potty chart). So tonight when Daddy got home, she went to the store to pick out her toy. We told her she could pick out any toy; it didn't have to be a train. She finally decided that she wanted a train! She is SO happy with her choice!

P.S. Tomorrow, in lieu of a movie we are going to see our favorite 3 year-old red furry monster! Pictures from that will be posted soon!

Elmo's World!

After I had posted the last post, I was able to catch this on video. I scripted it below the video in case it is difficult to understand.

Script: *singing* Elmo's world theme. Elmo's WORLD!!
Hey welcome to Elmo's World!
Can I help you Elmo?
I need some food!
Okay!
The food (something I am not sure of) make it fast!
Okay! What I sinking (thinking) about?
Elmo, I want some peas first.
Okay. You want some peas?
Hide Hide Hide!!
Elmo's World's over.

Gearing Up!!

With only a few more days before Elmo comes to town and a few more spots (3) on her potty sticker chart, Jesstine is gearing up for the show!! Elmo's Healthy Heroes will be here this weekend! Jesstine has been working really hard to get to go! Despite being sick all week last week, she was able to tell me she had to potty (#1 and #2) every time! There were no accidents except for ones that I wouldn't even have been able to catch if it were me needing to go potty. Yesterday she gathered all of her Sesame Street toys she could find and they had a cuddling session under her "yittew tabow" (little table). She sure is CUTE! (As if you didn't already know that!)

Look out Elmo! Here we come!!

Feeling Better!!!

Jesstine is feeling MUCH better! Just in time too! We had plans to take Jesstine and some friends that we babysit every other Sunday, to a Thunder hockey game tonight. It was the last regular season home game and it started about 2 hours earlier than most of the games do! We were really worried that Jesstine wouldn't be well enough to go! She was and she ate a LOT too! So here are a few highlights from the game. It was a 7 or 8 to 1 victory over Mississippi! No good fights really. Also we really were hoping to get a picture of Jesstine with Thunder Dog because she loves him SO much! He wasn't around much tonight. Maybe we can go to a playoff game sometime in the next month and FINALLY get a picture! If not, we may have to invite him to her birthday party!
Jesstine, Kristina (7) and Konrad (10).

Shriners and different characters they brought with them.

Auntie Kim holding Jesstine and her new buddy, Lloyd.

At one point, Lloyd looked up at Kim and gave this great big smile. He then reached down and grabbed Jesstine's hand and they stayed like that for a while! We are not sure what to think about that for MANY reasons!!

Spring Break

This week, we had only our second ER trip since she was born. My poor girl hasn't been able to keep anything down in the last 4.5 days! Not even water!

Yesterday she was up and playing.

Today, she won't move from the couch. This is the girl who won't dare sleep in the car on a long trip because the DVD playing is WAY more interesting! She fell asleep this afternoon in front of the tv. She looks SO uncomfortable when she is awake! Hoping this is just a virus and nothing serious! What a spring break!

Cousins

Jesstine's cousins were here for part of their spring break! Great times were had by all!

P.S. Hopefully pretty soon I can embed a clip from one of the great moments of their visit when my nephew, Ian (4), realized that Jesstine ALSO has the name Hutchins.
